This episode comes with Trigger Warnings for childhood sexual abuse, domestic abuse, incarceration, and trauma survivorship. Tracey Heisler is now an advocate for children in the foster care system. Her life 20 years ago was much different. In 2003, her eldest daughter disclosed that her own father had been molesting her. Tracey wrote a memoir on this experience which includes her thought processes back then and what she would do differently now. She wants her book, The Shadow in Our Lives, to be a valuable resource to others in this situation. Show notes are at amberunmasked.com/ep2023-05
