It's not a huge surprise to see Real Madrid and Bayern Munich making perfect starts to their respective league seasons in Spain and Germany but with each week that passes, people will wonder if an unbeaten season might be on the cards.

The same can't be said for Atleti, who continue to struggle under the guidance of Diego Simeone. There were big wins for Roma, Dortmund and Marseille across the continent, with PSG not below Monaco at the top of Ligue 1 as a direct consequence of Marseille's triumph, whilst in Portugal, Jose's back at Benfica and looking to reel in a so far pitch perfect Porto at the summit.
