Doesn't God’s demand for our obedience make Him a tyrant? This is an emotional response, which is where we live. It takes developing new neural pathways to process God’s love. We don’t have to love God in return, we can choose to hate. This could cloud our judgment of His love for us because we think He could hate us in return. However, the Bible says He cannot. He is love.
