Bryce and Caroline welcome first-time guests Amanda Derksen, Digital Initiatives Librarian extraordinaire, and Nicole Auriat, Library Services Coordinator and resident Canada Goose watcher at the Castle Downs Branch, to talk about the film "Stand By Me." An adaptation of the Stephen King novella "The Body", "Stand By Me" is an incredible coming of age story about 4 childhood friends who go on a journey of self discovery while on the search for a dead body. The group chats about the film's incredible actors, Amanda's Stephen King readathon project, and just how much Stephen King you can read before you lose track of reality.
Be sure to check out our list of all the titles that we talk about on this episode which includes our favourite Stephen King titles.
You're invited to join us on Friday, June 24th at the Stanley A. Milner Library for a free screening of Stand By Me as we kick off Summer Reads, our summer reading club for adults and teens.
