Tonya Todd is an author, actress, and Sin City cinephile, whose sundry background ranges from content writer to software programmer to booth babe. With a cast of characters as diverse as her careers, her fiction explores the infinite hues of what drives us all: relationships and desires.
Lack of diversity in literature inspired Tonya’s stories. As a reader, she’s yet to discover a satisfying narrative of mixed race characters or interracial couples; as an author, she aims to change that.
She has short stories in Tales from the Silver State IV, Authors Portraits LV, and Spooky Story Night: Volume IV. Her non-fiction is featured in NPR's Desert Companion.
Tonya serves on the board as Henderson Writers Group’s Education Chair and coordinates their Dime Grinds, a program that exposes authors to the public via monthly coffee house readings. An active member in the writing community, she also belongs to The Las Vegas Writers Group and Writers of Southern Nevada.
