Dr. Alvin Kollmann was the founding pastor of Good Shepherd starting in 1959. He served for nineteen years before being elected president of the Southern Illinois District of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod. His son, Dr. Victor Kollmann, preached the message title: "A Life of Significance" Luke 5:1-11.
