Today’s Gospel is a familiar one, about the ten lepers healed by Jesus. We often hear this text read at Thanksgiving, as a reminder to “be like the one who says thank you” as if that’s the main point of this text. What if that’s NOT the point? What if this story illustrated something completely different?
