2017 has been a breakthrough year for actor/comedian Kumail Nanjiani. After five seasons on HBO's "Silicon Valley", Nanjiani has landed his first Critic Choice nomination for Best Actor in a Comedy Series. On top of that, the 39 year-old has picked-up two more CCA nominations, as well as Independet Spirit nom., for his first feature film, "The Big Sick" which he co-wrote with wife Emily.
