Post Podcast: Alliance City Council meeting, May 4

Welcome back to the Post Podcast, I'm Kalin Krohe. Today we'll return to the Alliance City Council meeting from May 4. Council approved a proclamation for Public Service Week, water contingency funds for the arsenic plant, Denver Air Connection terminal lease agreement as the air service provider for the next two years and Mobius Communications access agreement for fiber optic line from Highway 2 south to the Alliance Airport. Council also approved an amendment to the authorized strength document within the Alliance Police Department. The present patrol officer FTE is 15 with an increase to 17 in anticipation of military leave for two officers. Alliance Police Chief Philip Lukens spoke to council about why this is needed.
