Who was the best and biggest and most consistent rock band of the 1980s?  That’s a question that was banging around my head.  I have a winner.  And you aren’t going to like it. Or maybe you will.   I was thinking about who truly, really was the kings of rock and roll bands of the 1980s and I can’t say no to U2.  Springsteen and the E St. Band Right are up there, but The River was 1979.
