EU calls for respect & implementation of ICC arrest warrants

The EU must uphold multilateral order and respect and implement the decisions of the International Criminal Court. That’s the warning from EU Commissioner Elisa Ferreira who was speaking in the European Parliament in Strasbourg this afternoon. Commissioner Ferreira referred to last week’s ICC ruling calling for the arrest of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his former Defence Minister Yoav Gallant. The ICC also issued an arrest warrant for a Hamas commander. 

Commissioner Ferreira called for EU unity during her address to the MEPs.
