Changing Possibilities: Miss Manners will remind you that etiquette dictates a Thank You note to your host because gratitude is essential to social lubrication. What if giving thanks is exactly what you need to do – not for other people – but for yourself. What if gratitude was a perspective, not an act? What if it changed you, and came from a changed you? The Bible has a lot to say about giving thanks but it isn’t because God is trying to make you more polite. Let’s talk about it.
