Kayla Carmicheal has long been shaped by the music she consumes, from her early excitement for The Wonder Years to the feelings made by The Sonder Bombs. Her writing has extended from The Alternative to The Grey Estates, where she's shared her favorite musicians' work as well as her own efforts to highlights people of color. Kayla joins this week to talk about her love of alternative music, her goals as a writer, the importance of being seen in DIY, and more.
