Funds sought to increase capacity and frequency of Gort to city bus service

Bus Éireann is seeking funds from the National Transport Authority to provide additional capacity and frequency on the bus service from Gort to Galway city. 

Galway East TD Ciaran Cannon says that additional capacity is urgently needed as many more people are using the bus service from Gort.

He added buses regularly pass through the town without stopping as they are already full to capacity. 

Deputy Cannon says he has spoken with Bus Éireann and the NTA and has expressed the need for additional services.
