There’s a scandal unfolding with ominous implications for our government and potentially for the national security. But you’d never know it from the negligible attention this still-unfolding debacle has received to date from the mainstream media. Presumably, that’s because it doesn’t involve Donald Trump. Or his subordinates. Or Russia.

Instead, the scandal implicates dozens of Democrats in the House of Representatives – many of whom serve on its most sensitive committees. For years, these legislators have relied on a handful of Muslim contractors from Pakistan to manage their official information technology needs. What could possibly go wrong?

The short answer is: plenty. For example, the one news outlet that has covered this scandal closely, the Daily Caller, says these unvetted IT operatives have had unmonitored access to all of their employers’ emails and other data.

We need a full damage assessment, now.
