For the past 30 years, Austin's SIMS Foundation has provided mental health care services to more than 25, 000 members of Austin's music industry (myself included), supporting close to 300,000 sessions of support for the emotional wellbeing of our community. Today, on the eve of Amplify Austin, I am joined by the new C.E.O. of the SIMS Foundation Derrick Lesnau and board member Bevis Griffin to talk about the state of SIMS after a pause in services and restructuring in 2024, celebrating 30 years of service to the Austin music community, who Sims Ellison was, the future of the SIMS Foundation, and much more.
