Protect Our Kids

Every parent’s nightmare is that something bad will happen to their child at school. In an era when murderers have targeted places where children study and play, educators’ responsibility to protect them has become vastly more important, and difficult.

So, when a student in Irving, Texas – who happens to be Muslim – brought to school Monday a device he had built that looked uncannily like the electronic trigger for an improvised explosive device, the faculty did the appropriate thing: They suspended him and called the police, who followed established protocols and removed the student.  

Islamic supremacists and their apologists immediately denounced the response as “Islamophobia.” President Obama elevated the victimhood meme by inviting the boy to the White House – a message certain to discourage teachers and school administrators from doing what they must to keep our kids safe.
