Steady progress on new Salmon Weir pedestrian and cycle bridge

Steady progress is being made on constructing a new pedestrian and cycle bridge at Salmon Weir. 

The first sod was turned in April - and the main bridge span itself is currently under construction at Galway Cathedral car park. 

It's expected to be lifted in place early next year
