In the midst of our celebration this year for the Chamber’s 100th Anniversary, we’re already looking ahead to another major milestone for the entire community. In 2024, Tallahassee-Leon County will celebrate its bicentennial.
Visit Tallahassee, Leon County’s division of tourism has already started to put wheels in motion for the big year. Earlier this month the County Commission approved the formation of a bicentennial steering committee and task force to engage the community and begin plans for the next year.

More than a dozen representatives from local organizations, Chambers of Commerce, higher education institutions, and historical societies will come together to create a community-wide celebration that engages all segments of the community, and shares residents’ experiences and stories of our community from their unique perspectives.
