Welcome back to part 2 of the podcast with one of Australia's leading sports dietitians Jessica Spendlove who has an impressive resume including a Bachelor of Nutrition Science and a Masters of Nutrition & Dietetics. Jess currently works with many professional sports teams including the Greater Western Sydney GIANTS (AFL), Giants Netball (Super Netball), Western Sydney Wanderers (A-League), Cronulla Sharks (NRL) Sydney Kings (NBL) and most recently the NSW Waratahs (Super Rugby).
In today’s podcast, Jess and I chat all things supplementation and what better expert to have this conversation with! We break down the supplements with the evidence and science behind them and where and when they should be used. We start with the most common supplement protein powder, then move on to discussing caffeine followed by leucine, beta alanine, branch chain amino acids or BCAAs, omega 3s fatty acids (fish oil), collagen and finally creatine.
As always, if you enjoyed this podcast, make sure you subscribe so you never miss an episode!
