Status yellow low temperature and ice warning in place for Galway today

A Met Eireann Status yellow low temperature and ice warning is in place in Galway and across the country until midday today.

Motorists are being warned of difficult driving conditions with icy stretches and patches of freezing fog 

Temperatures plunged to as low as minus 2 degrees Celsius overnight.
