A topic that we probably should have covered sooner!
But we finally get down to hardcore Macca collecting. 12" Single time! A format that reached it's peak in the mid 1980s (and in Macca world that meant about 68,000 versions of the Dance Version of 'No More Lonely Nights').
This week Tom & Andy showcase the 12" Macca singles in their collection, discussing the artwork and some of their favourite ones, ones that are hard to come by (Bravo again Tom on 'Temporary Secretary', yes Andy still needs it!). Sometimes these were referred to as "Maxi Singles".
We also discuss differing versions between US and UK pressings. The format petered out when vinyl died down in the early 90s but as late as 2014 we got another 12" only release with the standalone single 'Hope For The Future'. How diverse is your collection of Macca 12" singles?
