EU calls for more “robust efforts” to tackle cardiovascular diseases

The EU is calling for more “robust efforts” to help prevent cardiovascular diseases which are the leading cause of death in the EU. Today the new European Commissioner for Health (and Animal Welfare) says the EU will develop new plans to improve cardiovascular health in the bloc. Olivér VÁRHELYI was speaking in Brussels following a meeting of EU ministers there.
