Pure Science: New longest distance & longest duration lightning megaflash records

The World Meteorological Organization (WMO) has released the second ever records for record-breaking megflashes of lightning that occurred in 2020. The longest distance a single flash covered was 768km in USA, and the longest duration a single flash lasted was 17 seconds over the Uruguay-Argentina border.
