As a bonus episode, to coincide with Dying Matters Week we bring you an insightful conversation with Dr Tim Wright (GP), and Lucy (Paediatric Sister), members of Rachel’s family who both work in the local children’s hospice. This beautiful, tender and raw conversation has the reality of both sides of the bed. Providing care for families of children who have life-limiting conditions and at end of life, as well as loving someone with a life-limiting condition.
Dying Matters is a campaign run by the charity, Hospice UK. Hospice UK work with organisations, decision makers and the public to make things better for people who are dying or grieving. The hardest conversations are often the most important and here we talk about some of the jargon you might come across, having a take-away at a hospice and the ‘brutiful’ (beautiful and brutal) reality of fighting for a good death. The tech wasn’t to the standard we would typically aim for but the conversation was real and raw.
CONTENT WARNING
