Getting the chance to speak with Toronto BJJ and Professor Jorge Britto black belt standout Nathan Dos Santos. Coming off his silver medal performance at World Masters 2020 in Orlando Nathan was able to give us a look inside the mind of a competitor surrounded by challenges in getting his training in for a major competition. Using his time to head to Orlando to train with Professor Pat Cooligan of Team Renzo Gracie Orlando who opened his doors to Canadian Competitors looking for a training ground with some many restrictions upon Ontario currently. Have the ability to training with many others including Rodolfo Vieira before his match with Kaynan Duarte.
Talking about his growth from white belt to black belt, student to coach and the competitions along the way. Competing in some of the biggest tournaments from IBJJF Worlds and Pan Ams, Abu Dhabi Tour, ADCC and many others Nathan Dos Santos is still continuing his journey on his path to becoming a black belt world champion. Recognizing his responsibility in his journey to becoming a better coach and leader Nathan is up for the challenges ahead no matter the restrictions placed upon him.
