The Fine Gael MEP Sean Kelly says he’s been asked by “many people” from both within Fine Gael and outside the party to think about going forward for the presidency. That’s if Michael D. Higgins decides not to serve a second term. The Ireland South MEP says he’s ready to throw his hat in the ring if President Higgins chooses not to run again for office. The former GAA president, believes he has the right mix of skills and background to qualify for the big job in the Aras.
