True salvation is not a place that we get to, like the ribbon at the finish line of a race. Salvation is also not an award we get for chalking up a certain number of brownie points over the course of our ninety or so years on this planet. And it’s not a win-or-lose proposition that is bestowed upon us by a “thumbs-up or thumbs-down” as we stand before St. Peter at the pearly gates.

Instead, salvation is a state of consciousness. It is learning to work in harmony with the Law of Life that is present within us and all around us, all the time. Once we understand this, we can allow ourselves to live life in the present, rather than worrying about some future judgment day that doesn’t really exist.
