Galway public weighs in on what age schoolkids should be allowed have phones

How young is too young to buy a child a mobile phone? 

Well, a primary school in Wicklow is trying a new approach to answer that question, and tackle children's screen time.

Parents of pupils at St. Kevin's NS have volunteered to sign an agreement not to buy their child a smartphone until they finish sixth class.
