SERIES DESCRIPTION:
Christians should be known not for their words but by their deeds. Our broken world needs less talk and more action. Faith is a verb. This is the timeless message of the Book of James, written by the half-brother of Jesus about 20 years after Jesus’ death, to the early Christians who were struggling with materialism, hypocrisy, pride, favoritism, and slander—many of the same struggles we face nearly 2000 years later.
Like a wise mentor, James, in his old age, pens a beautifully written, yet surprisingly simple letter, reminding us of our vital connection to God and to one another, and our non-negotiable commitment to turn our words into deeds by living out our faith in the real world.
