It's not the first time that Into The Wild has discussed hunting. We've certainly not shied away from the topic because let's face it, whether we like it or not, legal hunting exists & whilst I'd never hunt, nor do I even eat meat & I think hunting as an activity is a bit "mate really?", it's still something I like to talk about as it affects, in numerous ways, wildlife.
On this episode, I talk with filmmaker & founder of Shepherds of Wildlife Society Tom Opre about his new film, Killing The Shepherd. This film looks at a community in deep poverty & lack of opportunity in Tanzania that calls out for help to a hunting safari operator, asking if they can bring work & income to the people. Killing The Shepherd was a great watch & it has a incredibly gripping story. To get the chance to have Tom, the creator, talk to me about the film was a great privilege.
