Prepare for Grid War Here Now

We are witnessing an inexorable, relentless and devastating crime against humanity. As a direct result of the deliberate destruction by Vladimir Putin of Ukraine’s power generation and distribution system, known colloquially as the electric “grid,” harsh winter cold is inflicting upon that country’s people terrible privation leading, inevitably, to extensive loss of life.

It is not enough to decry, or even punish, this potentially genocidal form of warfare. We must urgently learn from it being unleashed on Ukraine – and act appropriately.

We’re on notice that America’s enemies are not only aware of our grid’s vulnerability to various forms of catastrophic attack. They have planned, and are prepared, to exploit this national Achilles’ heel by, as in Ukraine for example, taking out critical high-voltage transformers.

Billions of dollars have already been allocated to upgrade our infrastructure. We must secure the U.S. grid now.
