Eclipse Phase “Body Count” Chapter 1: Stacks on the Line

On Mars, death is an inconvenience—unless your memories fall into the wrong hands. In Noctis-Qianjiao, the Sunon triad is in crisis after their man Shu is killed in a clash with the Martian Rangers, and his cortical stack now sits in an impound center full of cops, cameras, and baboon-backed patrols. In this opening episode, we meet Ellis, Chi, Burke, and Pivo, a crew of counterfeiters, hackers, and heavies sent to walk straight into a ranger facility under forged identities, pose as officials, and quietly reclaim Shu’s stack before anyone can crack it open. As the team flies over the domes of Noctis and moves through security checkpoints toward the morgue, the stakes are clear: if the rangers access what Shu knew, the triad’s entire operation—and everyone in it—could be exposed.

About the Chronicle

Body Count is an Eclipse Phase Second Edition nano-op run by Twin Cities by Night, set in the tense, neon-lit sprawl of Noctis-Qianjiao on Mars. This chronicle follows a Sunon triad crew forced into a high-risk retrieval operation where identity, loyalty, and survival constantly collide. Focused on infiltration, espionage, and the fragile line between death and data, Body Count explores a world where egos can be copied, bodies are replaceable, and information is the most valuable— and dangerous—currency in the system.
