That’s according to painter and sculptor, Liz O’Kane whose statue of the Nobel Laureate will be on permanent display in the European Parliament in Strasbourg from today. The Taoiseach and the President of the European Parliament jointly unveiled the statue in the European Parliament in Strasbourg this evening.
The Dublin-based artist, who’s originally from Northern Ireland, says she worked entirely from photos and video footage to create the bust of late SDLP leader.
