Susan Haynes | Isaiah 43:14-21
This is what the Lord says -
he who made a way through the sea,
a path through the mighty waters...
‘Forget the former things;
do not dwell on the past.
See, I am doing a new thing!
Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?
I am making a way in the wilderness
and streams in the wasteland.’
We can learn from and be thankful for what God has done in the past, but we should not get stuck there. At the beginning of a new year Susan challenges us to embrace the new things God has for us and to be part of what he is doing.
The recording begins with members of the congregation describing what it is like to experience something new.
An edited video recording of the Sunday service can be viewed on YouTube.
