San Juan County CEO Kim Carpenter discusses a number of issues, including the ongoing effort to have the NM Public Regulation Commission approve the plan to shut down units at the San Juan Generating Station and install new air pollution controls on the remaining stacks.

  Also, he discussed efforts to ask the Navajo Nation to assist with expenses of running the three volunteer fire departments in San Juan County on reservation land.
