"The House of God is a figure of speech that turns out to be much more than that. On the spiritual level, there is a house and it is our shelter. "May you dwell in the House of the Lord forever" is more than a symbolic statement. It means, may your perception of what's real and what's not real be based only on God's eternal realities, every moment...Love is the only absolute reality, which never changes and never dies. Dwelling on that which does not change, while things around us are changing all the time, is our key to inner peace." -- from The Gift of Change by Marianne Williamson.
If you were with me on Sunday, you remember that we talked about the movie Monsters Inc.
You may remember the premise. In the city of Monstropolis, the local utility company was Monsters Inc. The company created energy by dispatching the staff monsters, including our heroes James P. Sullivan (AKA Sully) and Mike Wazowski, out to the closets of small children, and collecting their screams when they jumped out and scared them. The screams were then converted into power.
This got me to thinking: are our lives powered by fear, or powered by love?
