EU doesn’t want “to escalate the rhetoric” on Protocol – European Commission Nolan

The European Commission will today announce its responses to British demands to change the Northern Ireland protocol. The EU vice president Maros Sefkovic will reveal the proposals later today.

This morning the head of the European Commission’s Representation in Ireland, told an Oireachtas Committee that the Commission was trying to provide practical solutions to practical problems.

Barbara Nolan told the European Affairs Committee, the Commission will announce what she called a ‘far reaching’ response  to the British proposals.
