An interview with Rachel Spencer about her BeeU Anti-Bullying Campaign - Shining the light on the link between bullying and mental health

After spending years on the big screen, Manchester actress and singer, Rachel Spencer, is stepping out of the spotlight to shine a light on a harrowing issue faced by young people and adults across the UK.

Rachel tells us about her BeeU anti-bullying campaign, launched to help minimise bullying, either in school, at home, or in the workplace.

As a victim of bullying herself and knowing first hand the impact that had on her own mental health, we talk about the pressures young people and adults have, especially in the cut throat world of entertainment and why she is so passionate for people to be who they are.

Rachel has been in the performing profession since the age of 9 starting in Oliver Twist at the Manchester Opera House, which led to large television roles in such programs as Coronation Street, Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps and a 96 episode contract with the BBC in ‘Doctors’.

Rachel switched between musical theatre and television and made plenty of contacts on the way.
