The European Medicines Agency is urging European citizens to get vaccinated or revaccinated against Covid 19 with cases of the virus increasing. The European Medicines Agency is urging European citizens to get vaccinated or revaccinated against Covid 19 with cases of the virus increasing.

Speaking this morning, the EMA’s Dr Marco Cavaleri, said they’re seeing a “general increase” in Covid 19 cases and deaths in the EU and wider economic area. He said infections and hospitalisations are rising in people aged 65 and older. Dr Cavaleri made the announcement exactly one thousand days since the WHO declared Covid 19 a “public health emergency of international concern”.

He warned a new wave of Covid 19 is expected in the coming weeks. And he urged people to get protected especially those whose health puts them at high risk of severe disease.
