In The Flight West, the opening chapter of Eidolon, a single Kindred travels from Boston to the Twin Cities under orders from an elder of his clan. What begins as a quiet journey quickly becomes a meditation on loyalty, control, and the ghosts of family expectation.

The episode introduces Marco Giovanni, a refined but haunted necromancer whose return to the world of his clan sets the stage for a descent into personal and political darkness. Through measured pacing and intimate character focus, The Flight West establishes the tone of Eidolon—a story of faith twisted by power and of duty transformed into obsession.

Told as a duet chronicle between Adam (as Marco Giovanni) and Chris (as Storyteller), this first episode draws listeners into the claustrophobic atmosphere of Vampire: the Masquerade’s world, where family, blood, and death are all tightly bound.

About the Chronicle

“Eidolon” is the fourth major arc in the Twin Cities by Night Vampire: the Masquerade continuity — following Negligence, Homecoming, and Dread — yet it also stands alone as an introspective, horror-laced drama.

Set in the fall of 2010, Eidolon explores themes of death, obligation, and the unseen cost of power. The story follows Marco Giovanni, a necromancer drawn into the Twin Cities by the command of an elder, where he must expand his clan’s reach while contending with his own haunted past.

A duet chronicle between Adam (as Marco Giovanni) and Chris (as Storyteller), Eidolon continues Twin Cities by Night’s tradition of exploring the personal horror at the heart of Vampire: the Masquerade — this time, through the eyes of one man bound by ghosts both living and dead.
