Josh Malerman is a New York Times bestselling author and also one of two singer/songwriters for the rock band The High Strung, whose song “The Luck You Got” can be heard as the theme song to the Showtime show “Shameless.”
His critically acclaimed novel, Bird Box has been adapted into a Netflix feature film starring Sandra Bullock, John Malkovich, and Sarah Paulson and was also nominated for the Stoker Award, the Shirley Jackson Award, and the James Herbert Award. The sequel novel, Malorie, was released earlier this year to roaring success, and his books Black Mad Wheel and Goblin have also been nominated for Stoker Awards.
In this episode we go deep into:
Josh answers questions from Patrons:
Faye Trask: How much say did you have when it came to turning Birdbox into a movie? Did you get to do anything neat like meet the actors or visit the set?
