The Stories That Brought You Here
Society & Culture
In the late-sixties, Jon moved from his birthplace of Montreal to Calgary. It was there he began working in the airline industry and would become his career for more than three decades. The job led to many profound experiences for him, including meeting his partner of over forty years, John Cowan. Their life together on Pender Island has allowed them to slow down, and discover great benefits from it.
As well, Jon will speak candidly about his experience of being a gay man in Canada during the previous decades. He will describe some of the challenges he faced during that time and how things have dramatically changed for the better in his community.
All this and so much more, in a very open and honest interview with a wonderful guy.
Enjoy.
