Listen in as Dr. Bobbie and Dr. Jess talk with epidemiologist, Danielle Legeai, and her story dealing with stress. Danielle has a PhD and completed her dissertation looking at stress pathways in the pediatric population, with a focus on social and environmental stressors. She herself has experienced primary adrenal insufficiency, also known as Addison’s disease, which directly affects her body’s ability to handle stress. Addison’s disease impacts the endocrine system and the internal stress pathway. Along with medication, Danielle talks about her journey to better understand her body, control her stress, and natural ways she has found to lower her stress levels.
