After an 11-year break, highlights on household consumption was published last Saturday, by the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation (MoSPI). In addition to trends in the composition of such expenditure, the report featured estimates of Monthly Per Capita Consumption Expenditure (MPCE) split across income classes, urban and rural India, States, and Union Territories.
