The Iosco RESA Career and Technical Education Center would like to take this opportunity to recognize Van Duda as “Professional Student of the Month” for December 2016. Van is the son of Dave and Jaimee Duda and is a senior at Tawas Area High School.
Van is a second year student in the Automotive Technology Program. He has worked hard on being a leader in the shop this year. Others look to him for help and advice and he is always willing to lend a hand. When new tasks and work are presented, Van always steps up to take on the job. His attitude and work ethic have been great this year as well. He is looking forward to going out to worksite soon. After graduation, he plans to be an automotive or diesel technician. Van also participates in football, bowling and 4-H.
To be nominated for “Professional Student of the Month”, a student must have outstanding work ethics, no absences or tardies for the month, no discipline issues and at least a B grade point average. Iosco RESA Tech Center offers the following programs for 11th and 12th grade students: Aircraft Maintenance, Automotive Technology, Culinary Arts & Restaurant Management, Health Science, and Power Mechanics. For more information about these programs call 989-362-3006 ext. 142.
