The Pope’s Appeasing of Sharia-supremacism is a Formula for More Jihad

Pope Francis heads to Egypt today to promote interfaith relations. Unfortunately, his trip will likely actually make matters worse between adherents to Islam and Christians and other minorities, rather than better. 

That may seem impossible. After all, Sharia-supremacists are already engaged in genocide throughout the Middle East, including against Egypt’s shrinking Christian Coptic community that is being ruthlessly targeted with rapes, murders and church bombings.

But the sort of pandering the Pope engages in with respect to the Muslim world – notably, his refusal to address Islam’s totalitarian Sharia doctrine and ignoring the supremacism it mandates – does nothing to reduce the appetite for murderous conquest of the Muslim Brotherhood and its offshoots, like the Islamic State and al Qaeda. To the contrary, Francis’ serial appeasement is perceived as submission, a practice that can only result in more jihad against Christians and others.
