She joined us to talk about leaving religion behind, her recent cancer diagnosis, and her efforts to seek effective care while navigating the murky waters of America's broken healthcare system.

She had to have a large section of her colon removed, got a stoma, and also had a port installed for chemotherapy as she continues her treatment plan.
