The former Army commander of the Northern Command, Lt Gen D S Hooda, under whose jurisdiction lies the Union Territory of Ladakh where the current intrusions both in the Galwan valley and the Panggong Tso are taking place, tells ThePrint's strategic affairs editor Jyoti Malhotra that the Chinese intrusions across the perceived Line of Actual Control are a means of putting pressure on India. China is sending the message that India should not believe it is on the backfoot in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic, Hooda added.
