Kara shared on the theme of Joy this week as we continue walking through the season of Advent. She reminded us of two truths: (1) we are all capable of experiencing the joy of the Lord; and (2) that that is what we were created for. We can rejoice, because we are a people of hope. Joy is a part of Jesus' character. Advent reminds us that we can step into the both/and tension of suffering and joy. Isaiah 35:1-10; Matthew 11:2-11; Psalm 146:5-10; John 15:11.
Kara also shared a quote from Mother Teresa: "Joy is a net of love by which we catch souls for the one filled with joy preaches without preaching."
